Merry Christmas!
We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present then to have Dad feeling better and making strides toward coming home!
By the time we went in to visit this evening, Dad was up sitting in his chair for the third time today. He looked great, said that he had little pain and was eating his supper. The nurse also said that he had been up standing (with a walker) while she straightened his bed. She told Mom that Dad was very determined.
My children got to go in to see their Papa last night and again this evening. I think that it helped to put their nerves at ease by seeing that he was doing okay.
When we left him this evening he was watching a special on the life of Jesus. A perfect ending to a wonderful day.
